Organization: Stealth R&D Lab (Enterprise Technology)
Location: Fully Remote (Global)
Duration: 4-6 months
Compensation: Equity consideration for exceptional contributors
Start Date: Rolling basis
🧪 THE LAB
An experimental research environment for AI-native infrastructure. Live systems, real security challenges, genuine operational complexity not classroom simulations.
Core philosophy: Learn by doing. Document everything. Fail safely.
🎯 YOUR FOCUS: Systems CyberSec & Operational Intelligence
You'll own the security and visibility layer: knowing what's happening before it breaks, and why it broke when it does.
Responsibilities:
• Real-time monitoring: Operate production-grade observability dashboards tracking security events and system health
• Alert triage: Distinguish genuine threats from noise in automated detection pipelines
• Incident forensics: Investigate workflow failures, authentication disruptions, and API ecosystem anomalies
• Preventive engineering: Build health checks and circuit breakers that catch issues before customers do Operational documentation: Write runbooks that survive your tenure
🛠️ SKILLS DEVELOPED
Domain: Mastery Path
• Security Operations : Anomaly detection, threat triage, incident response protocols
• Observability Engineering Metrics, logs, traces, building systems that explain themselves
• Automation-First Debugging Scripts and queries that eliminate manual investigation
• Technical Writing Runbooks, post-mortems, operational intelligence reports
👤 YOU ARE
Pattern-seeker: You notice when metrics look "off" before alarms trigger
Calm under ambiguity: "Unknown failure" excites you, doesn't panic you
Precision-obsessed: Your documentation saves future operators hours
Foundation-ready: Python or SQL basics, any context (personal projects, coursework, previous roles)
Bonus: Security CTF experience, homelab infrastructure, tell us your "I broke it and fixed it" story.
🔒 PROCESS
Screening: CV + written diagnostic of a hypothetical system failure
NDA: Required before any operational details
Technical challenge: Sanitized logs under NDA diagnose and prescribe
Interview: Culture fit, mission alignment
Start: ASAP
