Data Center Technical Expert (CDCE Certified) Location: Morocco Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Full-time | On-site Certification: CDCE – Mandatory Languages: French and English – Mandatory About the Role: Petrocon Engineers & Consultants is seeking an experienced Data Center Technical Expert (CDCE Certified) to support the design, engineering, technical evaluation, and optimisation of mission-critical Data Center infrastructure in Senegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring infrastructure availability, resilience, technical consistency, and compliance with international Data Center standards. Key Responsibilities: • Contribute to defining and reviewing Data Center technical architecture, including High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD). • Define and validate redundancy, resilience, and availability strategies for critical infrastructure. • Oversee the design of HV/LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and battery systems. • Review cooling and HVAC systems designed for critical IT environments. • Support BMS/DCIM integration, fire safety, physical security, and access control systems. • Analyse infrastructure capacity, performance, and potential points of failure. • Conduct technical design reviews and verify compliance with applicable international standards. • Evaluate technical solutions proposed by engineering consultants, suppliers, and contractors. • Participate in testing, commissioning, facility acceptance, and technical coordination. • Provide technical expertise to multidisciplinary project teams and support clients in selecting infrastructure architectures. Required Skills & Experience: • 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Center design, engineering, or critical infrastructure projects. • Strong expertise in critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure. • Good knowledge of N, N+1, 2N, and 2(N+1) redundancy architectures. • Strong understanding of Data Center availability, resilience, energy efficiency, and service continuity. • Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Standards, EN 50600, and ISO/IEC 22237. • Experience in Data Center design, construction, or modernisation projects. • Ability to conduct technical analyses and critically evaluate proposed engineering solutions. • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in international project environments. Qualifications: • Engineering degree or Master's-level qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering, or an equivalent field. • CDCE (Certified Data Centre Expert) certification is mandatory. • Professional proficiency in both French and English is mandatory. • Strong analytical, technical coordination, and communication skills.
