Terms of Reference for Communications Intern
Position: Communications Intern (unpaid)
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 to 5 months
Time Commitment: Part-time
Background
EarthEcho Communications supports communities through initiatives focused on gender equality, social justice, and innovation. We are seeking a motivated and creative intern who speaks Arabic and French, has a solid level of English, and is comfortable working remotely within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
The Communication Intern will contribute to the organization’s outreach and visibility efforts.
Main tasks include:
• Assisting in the creation of social media content, including visuals and graphics
• Supporting social media accounts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Assisting in the development of written materials in French and Arabic
• Contributing to the planning and execution of communication activities for ongoing projects
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field
• Strong writing skills in French and Arabic, with good command of English
• Ability to create visual content and basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with social media management and digital communication
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating within a diverse team
• Interest in gender equality, social justice, or development-related work
