• Coordinate remote meetings between our partners and client representatives, managing schedules and ensuring all participants have the necessary background information.
• Maintain internal project databases, keeping records of counterparty behaviors and regulatory updates relevant to the current market.
• Help synthesize research findings into concise reports that focus on commercial outcomes rather than theoretical concepts.
• Support the drafting of weekly progress updates that reflect the actual state of negotiations and capital deployment.
• Liaise with different workstreams to ensure that research regarding sovereign entities and private partners is categorized and easily accessible.
• Monitor administrative tasks related to the project lifecycle, from initial research phases to the delivery of the final position.
What you bring

• The self-discipline required to work effectively in a fully remote environment without constant supervision.
• A genuine curiosity about how large-scale investments and partnerships are structured in complex markets.
• Willingness to learn the specific logic of state-backed capital and how it interacts with private commercial interests.
What we offer
• Direct exposure to senior partners who stay involved in every aspect of the work, from research to final negotiation support.
• A fully remote work arrangement that offers flexibility and eliminates the need for commuting.
• Competitive pay for an intern-level position that recognizes the value of your contributions to the firm.
• The opportunity to work on high-stakes projects involving significant capital deployment and sovereign entities.
• A professional environment that values directness and commercial judgment over corporate rituals.
Working at Gulf Associates
Working here means focusing on what actually happens in the room during a negotiation rather than what is written in a distant head office. We are a specialized firm by choice, keeping our list of active engagements small so that every project gets the attention it deserves. Our culture is built on honesty and results; we do not produce reports for the sake of producing reports. Instead, we aim to provide positions that our clients can act on immediately. Because we operate as a remote firm, we rely heavily on clear communication and individual accountability. We expect everyone, including our interns, to be focused on the ground reality of the markets we serve. This is an environment where your work will have a direct link to the decisions made by chief executives and major investment groups.
The role of Project Manager Intern is a paid position designed for someone starting their career who wants to understand how commercial deals are organized and executed. You will be a vital part of the support structure for our ongoing work in the telecommunications sector, gaining insight into the practicalities of international expansion and partnership decisions. We value those who take their work seriously and can maintain the high standards required when dealing with complex, high-value investments.
