Architectural Technician & Designer

Teamo is seeking a skilled and versatile Architectural Technician & Designer to join our growing team. This position bridges creative architectural design with precise technical execution. You will help move projects from early concept development and 3D spatial modeling through construction documents, shop drawings, technical detailing, and fabrication-ready deliverables. The ideal candidate combines strong design sensibility with advanced knowledge of building construction and professional experience using CAD/BIM and 3D modeling software. Responsibilities • Prepare accurate architectural drawings, construction document sets, assembly layouts, and technical details. • Create, review, and refine shop drawings for fabrication and site installation. • Ensure all drawings remain consistent with the approved design intent. • Develop design concepts, 3D models, spatial studies, and presentation-quality visualizations. • Research and detail architectural assemblies, structural transitions, waterproofing conditions, and complex material junctions. • Coordinate with designers, project managers, contractors, fabricators, and other project partners. • Confirm the technical feasibility and accuracy of designs throughout each project stage. • Review final drawing packages to maintain a high standard of accuracy and completeness. Required Qualifications • Professional experience using AutoCAD or Revit for construction documentation, technical drafting, or BIM modeling. • Strong proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling, spatial planning, and concept development. • Thorough understanding of construction methods, building components, architectural drawing standards, and detailing practices. • Ability to produce detailed construction documents and high-precision shop drawings. • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, reliable work. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project timelines. • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, contractors, and fabricators. Preferred Qualifications • A portfolio demonstrating both technical drafting and creative 3D design work. • Experience producing completed construction document sets and architectural details. • Experience developing drawings for fabrication and installation. • Strong understanding of modern building systems, envelope detailing, and material transitions.
