Senior Consultant / Project Manager, Casablanca

Then we might have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant or Project Manager to join our team in Casablanca. Business Sweden is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented colleague who is eager to be part of our talented team in Casablanca as part of the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. As a team we advise both Large- & Mid-sized companies as well as Start-ups on how to capture the growth opportunities in Morocco, working closely with other offices on the African continent. Majority of our engagements are also related to Strategic Projects of Trade & Developments where we coordinate the Team Sweden involvements in large development projects increasing Swedish contents. Sweden's trade future is increasingly tied to the Middle East and Africa (MEA), a region that represent some of the world’s fastest growing economies. There is a wealth of opportunities particularly connected to the green transition, where Swedish expertise is highly sought-after. The average growth in the region is more than three percent, with several areas still dependent on foreign aid. That is why this region in many aspects will be in the center of the policy development bringing aid and development measures closer to trade promotion. The role includes both strategic and operational responsibilities such as: • Represent Business Sweden as a trusted advisor and help clients address their most important international growth challenges. • Lead project teams and work closely with clients throughout assignments. • Build strong client relationships and independently manage senior stakeholder dialogues. • Shape and scope assignments and lead project delivery, ensuring that insights and recommendations are well grounded, practical and clearly communicated. • Navigate both business promotion and strategic consulting assignments for clients ranging from SMEs to large multinational companies. • Proactively drive sales, from initiating client dialogues and identifying needs to shaping proposals and converting opportunities. • Coach and support more junior colleagues and contribute to the continued development of the team. • Support in our collaboration with Team Sweden in the countries we operate in, to provide support and business promotion platforms for Swedish companies. You will report to the Country Manager and the position is based in Casablanca, Morocco, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients globally, as required. Formal requirements • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Economics, Engineering, Political Science or a related field. • Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience e.g. consulting, business development, internationalisation, government affairs or trade and development. The candidate's work experience will determine whether a Senior Consultant or Project Manager level will be relevant. • Experience operating in an international business environment with a strong market and client focus. • Proven sales experience and the ability to independently drive client dialogues and take responsibility for the full sales cycle. • High level of proficiency in written and spoken French & English is a requirement. Additional languages are meriting. • Local market experience from studies or work is a merit. • Experience from living or working in other parts of the world is a merit.
