**About us**
The Saarland University Hospital is one of the largest training institutions in the southwest. Twelve recognized training centers for medical health professions as well as the department for continuing and advanced education are located here – with over 770 training places and 142 advanced training places.
For our Department for Functional Professions (ATA, OTA, advanced training FD/Endo), we are looking for a released practical instructor (f/m/d) with a focus on surgical technical assistance (OTA) as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis until 14.11.2027, full-time or part-time.
You help shape the practical training of OTA trainees – and thereby directly contribute to ensuring the quality and future viability of patient care in the surgical area.
**Your tasks**
* Continuous supervision, advice and practical guidance of OTA trainees in the surgical areas as well as in interdisciplinary learning settings
* Support and participation in the practical guidance of ATA trainees
* Preparation, conduct and participation in practical examinations and final exams
* Collaboration on innovative concepts for practical instruction and cooperation between learning locations
* Active contribution to shaping a modern training culture in the Department for Functional Professions
* Further development of the practical curriculum of OTA training
**Your profile**
* Completed training in health and (pediatric) nursing or as a registered nurse with completed further training as a specialist nurse for the surgical service (m/f/d) as well as practical instructor for health professions (m/f/d) or
* Completed training as a surgical technical assistant (m/f/d) and completed further training as a practical instructor for health professions (m/f/d)
* Several years of professional experience in the surgical area
* High social and communicative competence, ability to work in a team and enjoyment in working with trainees
* Identification with the educational goals of the school center and the corporate goals of the UKS
* Your willingness to live our mission statement and protection concept

* The position is assigned to pay group KR8-9 TV-L. The classification is based on the activity characteristics of the pay regulations to the TV-L; if their requirements are not met, a correspondingly lower classification is made in accordance with the pay regulations. The individual step assignment (steps 1–6) is governed by § 16 TV-L, taking into account personal requirements and relevant professional experience
