Your job
You are responsible for the technical support of railway, road, cycle path and green bridges, structural culverts, trough structures, tunnel structures in open construction, galleries, special steel structures and non-standard platform roofs during planning and construction.
Furthermore, you accompany the further development of technical standards by initiating and accompanying national and international research topics in the field of bridge construction and structural engineering with a focus on failure causes of concrete bridges.
The creation and updating of internal and external regulations, guidelines and standards also falls within your area of responsibility.
You are also responsible for carrying out knowledge transfer (training and further education) in the department.
The coordination and evaluation of data from the facility provision process for systematic derivation of measures, taking into account the associated LCM strategies, complement your diverse field of activity, as does the independent development of supra-regional uniform specifications for monitoring the development of facility condition, facility strategies and the technical prioritization of the derived measures.
Your profile
For this function, you bring a university degree (civil engineering, cultural engineering/water management, industrial engineering, etc.), as well as preferably experience with scientific work and several years of relevant professional experience.
As an internal applicant, you ideally have successfully completed training as a railway infrastructure technician including the relevant specializations of the Structural Engineering department (formerly FW/PE01 railway and structural engineering course). As an external applicant, you show willingness to complete this course.
On a personal level, you convince as an open, communicative personality who enjoys familiarizing themselves with new subject areas.
You are characterized by team spirit, assertiveness and coordination skills as well as high resilience, and you bring joy in jointly developing solutions. You are also happy to pass on your knowledge to younger employees.
