We are looking for a committed and experienced personality as a Security
Architect for our Cyber Security – Identify &
Protect (I&P) team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping ÖBB's
security architecture and ensure that security-relevant requirements
are incorporated holistically, sustainably and feasibly into our IT landscape. A particular focus is on Privileged Access Management
(PAM): You act as the central point of contact for this topic area, drive
its architectural further development and work closely with Cyber
Security Engineering, Solution Architects as well as ÖBB's infrastructure and
platform teams.

develop and are responsible for the overarching security architecture for the ÖBB Group – from strategic planning to technical detailed design – from the perspective of the central service provider.
develop architecture concepts, decision bases, blueprints and justifications for security-relevant topics with a particular focus on Privileged Access Management (PAM).
act as the central point of contact for PAM and advise internal stakeholders on architectural, technical and
organizational questions relating to privileged access.
assess solution and architecture proposals with regard to security impacts, regulatory requirements, dependencies and sustainable feasibility.
shape the further development of the PAM target architecture and accompany the integration of corresponding solutions into existing IT and security architectures.
coordinate closely with adjacent architecture, operations and cyber security specialist areas and bring security aspects into decision-making and governance processes.
accompany projects from the concept phase to go-live and ensure that security requirements are taken into account from the outset (Security by Design).
support the definition of security standards, policies and procedures – in particular in the context of privileged accounts, access and administrative permissions.
conduct architecture reviews and security assessments and, together with IS risk management, derive concrete measures and improvements.
monitor technological developments and
best practices in the area of security architecture and PAM and assess their
benefit for ÖBB.
Your profile, you...
can demonstrate a completed higher education (IT security, computer science or business informatics with a focus on IT security) or comparable professional experience in the IT security environment.
bring in-depth knowledge of IT architecture, cyber security, Identity & Access Management or related security domains.
have experience in the design, assessment or further development of security architectures in complex IT environments.
ideally have practical knowledge in the area of Privileged Access Management, for example with regard to privileged accounts, session management, password vaults, least-privilege principles or the protection of administrative access.
have experience in developing concepts, decision bases or architecture documentation.
are used to being the technical point of contact for stakeholders and to translating complex requirements in a structured way into viable security solutions.
are familiar with hybrid IT architectures and ideally with cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP) and understand the associated security challenges.
ideally have recognized
certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PAM software or comparable
qualifications.
