Your
tasks, exciting and varied:
In 52 alternating weeks, a thorough training prepares you specifically for your future work as a train driver.
During the training, valuable driving practice is gained - both in the ultra-modern ÖBB simulator and directly on the rails.
The training imparts to you all the theoretical, practical and safety-relevant knowledge required for the profession.
With the successfully passed final examination, the train driver's licences of classes A and B are acquired.
After successfully completing the training, you bring passengers and goods safely, punctually and reliably to their destination.
Expectations you fulfil:
You have completed training and are at least 19 years old at the start of the course.
As a male applicant, you have already completed the presence or civilian service or are exempt from it.
You have very good knowledge of German in speech and writing in order to ensure successful and safe communication with our passengers and colleagues.
You are physically fit, see and hear very well.
You and your environment can cope well with changing working hours in shift work (night/weekend/public holidays).

The start of a long-term career as a train driver. After just a few years, you can further qualify - e.g. as a driving trainer or instructor train driver.
For the function "universal train driver, junior staff",
a minimum salary of € 38,351.88 gross/year is envisaged. After completed
training and when exercising the function "universal train driver",
the salary amounts to at least € 45,822.42 gross/year, whereby a
payment above the collective agreement of at least € 47,865.16 gross/year
is made.
In addition, performance-oriented supplementary payments (on average € 500 gross per month, excl. overtime) are offered.
