Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We’re hiring an AI Engineer in Casablanca to help us build and deploy AI systems for the construction industry. Location: Casablanca, Morocco Type: Full-time, on-site Travel: International deployment possible At Mirage Metrics, we build AI systems that work inside real construction workflows. Our Construction AI product works with drawings, technical documents, BIM data and project information to automate tasks such as quantity takeoffs, drawing analysis, comparison, estimation and project controls. We’re looking for an engineer who wants to stay close to the product, the technical problem and the customer. This is not a research-only role. You’ll build systems, test them on real construction projects, understand where they fail, improve them, and help deploy them with customers. What you’ll work on - Computer vision and multimodal AI applied to construction drawings - Extraction and interpretation of information from PDFs, plans and technical documents - AI pipelines combining vision models, LLMs and deterministic engineering logic - Quantity takeoff and drawing analysis systems - Model evaluation, accuracy measurement and failure analysis - Production APIs and backend systems - Deployment and integration into customer environments - Direct work with construction engineers, estimators and project teams - Potential international deployments alongside customers What we are looking for - Strong Python skills - Solid software engineering fundamentals - Experience with machine learning, computer vision, multimodal models or LLM systems - Ability to move from prototype to reliable production software - Comfortable debugging ambiguous problems with imperfect real-world data - High level of ownership, relentlessness and autonomy - Willingness to work on-site in Casablanca - Comfortable traveling internationally when a deployment requires it - Professional English, French and Arabic Strong plus - PyTorch - OpenCV - Vision transformers or multimodal models - OCR and document understanding - CAD, BIM, construction drawings or geospatial data - Backend development and APIs - Experience deploying ML systems in production You do not need previous construction experience. You do need to be willing to understand the domain deeply enough to build systems that construction professionals can rely on.
