The Advocate Group is partnering with Monster Energy to find a Business Manager to lead West Africa from our Casablanca base, covering high-potential, smaller bottler markets including Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Senegal.
This is a newly expanded position as Monster scales its footprint across the region, and you'll act as the vital link between Monster, its distribution partner, and the field, with real ownership over how the brand grows across the cluster. Monster Energy has flagged West Africa as one of its number one growth opportunities, and this role is where that growth gets made.
The Role:
• Own the Algeria market launch plan, driving monthly sell-in and sell-out performance against agreed targets.
• Build and manage the relationship with Monster Energy’s distribution/bottler partner, agreeing KPIs and ensuring these are cascaded effectively across field teams.
• Take ownership of P&L performance, identifying commercial opportunities and actions to protect and grow profitability.
• Lead joint business planning with the distribution partner, working closely with internal stakeholders and the wider MENA support function.
• Use market insight, sales performance and consumer data to influence NPD, promotional and commercial planning.
• Drive strong in-market execution, ensuring excellent standards across POS, cooler placement, visibility and merchandising across all channels.
• Own Algeria’s business planning, forecasting and reporting cadence, establishing the commercial rhythm as the market develops.
• Act as the key commercial link between Monster Energy, the distribution partner and the wider regional business.
About You:
• Around 5 years’ FMCG sales experience, ideally within the beverage sector, with exposure to key account management and field sales.
• Experience managing and influencing a distribution partner, bottler or distributor network, rather than solely working directly with customers.
• Comfortable taking ownership of a P&L, with a strong understanding of commercial finance and business performance.
• Confident working within an international, matrix organisation, influencing stakeholders across different functions and markets.
• Fluent in French and English, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially driven, entrepreneurial and comfortable working with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
• Most importantly, you’ll have a genuine appetite for building something new. This is a market launch, not a steady-state role, so you’ll need to be energised by creating, shaping and growing a business from the ground up.
If the role and responsibilities sound like a good fit for you, then I’d love to speak to you!
